Football is more than just a game, it’s a community, a passion, and for many, a vital source of wellbeing. Blackpool Football Therapy offers a welcoming space where the beautiful game meets mental health support, bringing together people from across the Fylde coast who share a love of football and a desire for connection.
Our weekly sessions are designed with one purpose in mind: to improve your wellbeing through the joy of football. These aren’t competitive matches or intensive training sessions – they’re relaxed, friendly gatherings where you can:
We hold sessions 5 every evening at Stanley Park, providing plenty of opportunities to get involved at a time that suits you. Whilst we occasionally play friendly matches with other local teams, the emphasis is always on enjoyment, inclusion, and support rather than competition. Our session are what separates us from the rest!
Whether you’re an experienced player or haven’t kicked a ball in years, you’ll find a warm welcome here. Our community is built on respect, understanding, and shared passion for the game.
Blackpool Football Therapy CIC is open to anyone from the Blackpool & Fylde area who loves football and is looking for a supportive community. You don’t need to be at peak fitness or have professional skills – just bring yourself and a willingness to be part of our team. Looking for friends or wanting just a hobby then come meet us!
Blackpool Football Therapy is an award winning organisation, we have won the CITC Mental Health Award, the Active Blackpool social and wellbeing award, finalist at Lancashire FA Wellbeing awards. Whilst we dont this for the glory it just shows that what we do works and has made an impact on our town.
